Editors’ Note

June 20, 2025

Dear Friends,

We love curating the stories and prose poems for this journal but in these strange and disheartening times, it is getting hard to write pithy editors’ notes. So we’ll let our contributors speak for us. We present the following found poem, one line from each of the thirteen new pieces in this issue. We think it speaks to this moment in time better than we can:

act normal casual whatever you do
the kind of joy you can’t fake
the goal is management
she didn’t need a frigging history lesson
something cold and sickly sweet
Can I have a different spoon?
to destroy the ice cream sandwich
60 bucks a month just to see Green
my wanting feels like violence
do not look for us among the ranks of the high and holy
the unicorns are restless
CAUTION: DANGER TO LIFE!
Could this be real?

Welcome to Issue 32 of MoonPark Review.
